Phidam Palm Gardens
and Resort
Phidam Palm Gardens and Resort is an events and relaxation venue located on a gentle hill in a quiet, green environment perfect for a homely yet rest-filled experience. We are located 5 kilometers from the Protestant Martyrs Shrine in Namugongo and 6 kilometers from Kira town (see Google Directions). The resort is an ideal destination for weddings, private parties, corporate team building activities and other occasions, from family functions to personal or couples’ retreats. Also available are meeting rooms and a children’s play area. A magnificent entrance leads visitors to the landscaped gardens which feature several beautiful and ideal photography spots such as enchanting flowers the palm hedges and fortified walkways.
Our Services
Gardens
The gardens feature pleasing well-kept grass with majestic cane palms and well-trimmed Duranta hedges at the periphery. In addition, they feature a variety of beautiful flowers which are labeled. The gardens are accessed through a splendid walkway lined by well-manicured hedges. The main garden can accommodate just over 800 guests. There are two smaller gardens suitable for smaller functions of up to 100 people.
Accomodation
Phidam Palm Gardens and Resort features six (6) rooms: 3 standard rooms, 2 Suites and a bridal cottage (round house). The suites and cottage have a separate sitting space and suite 1 has a kitchenette. All rooms are equipped with a flat-screen satellite TV and private bathroom. For your comfort, you will find free toiletries, tea and coffee making facilities, a work desk with adjustable lighting, an in-room safe, among other amenities.
Restaurant
Our restaurant seats up to 45 patrons at a time, and offers a variety of modern, delicious meals with carefully chosen ingredients to tantalize your taste buds. Enjoy your delicious meal in a clean, stylish, contemporary environment in a relaxed ambience. Our restaurant has access to free wi-fi and TV to watch as you await your meal.
Bar
Our bar within the restaurant has an assortment of drinks for your enjoyment: from soft drinks to beers, wines and spirits at competitive prices.
Barbeque Corner
Enjoy your barbecued meats in a private, rustic, laid back setting under a tarp roof providing shade on sunny days and protection against rain. Our Barbecue Corner is well ventilated for your comfort as your beef, chicken and pork are prepared over an open fire or in an open oven. The Barbecue Corner seats up to 40 people at a time and is the perfect spot to enjoy free internet and TV as you feast on your roasts. Excellent for football lovers!
Kids Play Area
Phidam Palm Garden has a special kids’ play area that provides opportunity to kids to interact with each other and have fun in a safe environment secured by a Durant hedge all around. The play area has a variety of outdoor kids’ play equipment including a bouncing castle and trampoline. In addition, the children have access special rest rooms close by.
Weddings and Events
Whether your ideal wedding is small and modest or grand and elaborate, Phidam Palm Gardens and Resort is ideal for your big day. Set in a serene environment, our main gardens feature a raised platform for your high table, and sectioned gardens for your set up, large or small. Our gardens are designed in a manner that, with several tents, one large one or none, your wedding will be an amazing experience for your guests and you. We also have several spots with beautiful flowers that will be a great backdrop for you and your guests to take memorable photos in honor of your wedding day.
Meetings
Each meeting room is well ventilated and has a seating capacity for 50 people or cathedral seating style for about 80 patrons. Our garden pathways are available for healthy stretch breaks in between sessions and our gardens are available for outdoor activities. We offer locally inspired menus to suit all engagements from formal meetings to casual brainstorming sessions. The meeting rooms have washrooms in their vicinity. Other amenities will include projection equipment and tea/coffee making facilities.
Parking Area
Phidam Palm Gardens have ample parking for guests, many or few. For major events, we have three-layered parking space on about 1.2 acres. We also have a smaller parking space for up to 25 cars when there are no major events.
Gift Shop
There is a gift shop at the gardens. Forgot your toothbrush and deodorant? Need a handkerchief? Ran out of airtime? Our gift shop has these for you and much more.. You can pick one from our Gift shop. We also plan to sell airtime and related services from this shop. The shop also plans to sell seedlings for various plants and flowers.
